In my native dialect (Ilocano) we call this shell "Kulintipay". We simply cook it "guisado" style.
Cooking Instructions for Shell Guisado
Ingredients:
1 kilo kulintipay shells
1 small piece ginger
5 cloves garlic
1 pc medium onion
1 medium tomato
1 tbsp fish sauce
How To Cook:
- Fry ginger, garlic, onion and tomato
- Add the shells
- Add little water and fish sauce
- Stir and cover the pan
- Turn off the heat once the shells start to open and serve
Serving size: 4-6
Tip: Almost all variety of shells can be cooked in the same way
